The Budget
Your wedding will be one of the most important days of your life.
With that being said you want the memories that unfold to be captured and brought to you by someone who knows the industry and is passionate about what they do.
For nearly the past decade of my life I've devoted myself entirely to this industry, and I know it very well.
Any time a professional has experience like this combined with talent and a true passion for something, the outcome is consistently great!
Most sources will tell you that photography should account for roughly 10% of your Wedding budget. Of course you can adjust that number according to the importance that you personally place on the pictures.
These days I think its easy to suggest that everyone has to work within a budget of some sort. But a wedding is one of those events where people generally seek out the absolute highest quality they can afford; and for the same reason you don't get a brass ring with a fake diamond, you shouldn't try to skimp out on the price of your wedding photographer.
If you're one of those people who prides themselves on always finding bargains, just remember that the satisfaction of getting a great deal is short compared to how long you have to live with the results – and your wedding photos are something that will be with you for a very long time.

of the Year
How it came about
The past decade of my life has been completely dedicated to both the photography and wedding industries.
My depth of experience began with building and Managing the largest and most well respected DJ and Limousine company in Canada. As the General Manager of this Company I met the needs of literally thousands of Brides and Grooms over this period of time. It was always my main focus to make sure that each and every one of my clients were completely satisfied with the service we provided them.
A few years into this project I began incorporating my passion for photography by offering up my services to a countless number of clientele along the way. I began to receive word-of-mouth offers to shoot Weddings all over Alberta, and within a short while it became clear what my calling was. From there I began shooting professionally and teaching my Love for photography to my Love, Laura Lea. As a couple photography team we both understand what moments are important to you, and we capture and present these moments with care and attention to detail.
As a professional photographer it is important to have good equipment. But what you also need that cannot be purchased is
"the eye". This is the ability to predict, capture, and present a defining moment in a way that is visually appealing. Not everyone has this talent, and without it having the most expensive equipment available will only take a photographer so far.
With every wedding we commit to we strive to achieve excellence with great customer support and high-quality standards.

Q A
Have a question?
Style
What photographic style do you have?
Our style would be a mixture between Portraiture and photojournalistic. This means that we tell the story of the day with an authentic and unplanned approach, while still fully capturing your formals.
What is the one thing you enjoy most about your job?
Like any artistic professional it would have to be the relentless pursuit of perfection.
It's always a goal of mine to impress my clients and to see how happy they get when I present photos to them; some of which including moments they completely missed while getting pulled in every direction on the day of the Wedding.
At the end of the day photography is a form of art, the camera is my paint brush.
Does you and your staff dress formally?
Of course. For engagement sessions we dress casual, however for your wedding day we dress in formal attire in neutral colors; drawing less attention to us as we work our way through the crowd.
Peace of Mind
Are you familiar with my venue?
Over the past 10 years in the Wedding industry I have been at almost every Golf Course, major Hotel, Community Hall, and Banquet facility that Edmonton has to offer.
If there is a venue I haven't been to, I will always take time out of my schedule to scout-out any location well in advance.
What type of equipment do you use?
I use professional Nikon equipment.
All of my gear is high-end and capable of processing incredible images. All of my equipment is also backed up to ensure there is no down-time.
What does your coverage include?
We will be on-site with you from the getting-ready stages of the day until the last song of the evening.
My thoughts are if your friends and family are a part of your entire day creating memories there is no reason why the photographers shouldn't be there to capture them.
The Business
Why are Photographers so expensive?
A common misconception with the cost of a photographer is simply not understanding how much work is actually involved in capturing your big day.
Time commitment: From the moment the flash goes off until the finished images are in the clients hands there are countless hours involved in the whole photography and photo editing process.
Beyond the Wedding day a photographer will spend anywhere from 30-50 studio-hours of post production time preparing photos for their clients.
Equipment: On average a photographer will spend $5,000- $10,000 on camera equipment alone; which will get out-dated and worn down within a year or two, just like any other electronics.
Staff: Photographers also pay staff for Wedding coverage and Engagement sessions; which are typically included in the cost of a Wedding package.
At the end of the day you certainly get what you pay for; and with something like the memories of your Wedding day the photographer will always be an important consideration.
